Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team at our hotel in Nairobi. The role involves overseeing daily cleaning operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and delivering excellent guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, corridors and other facilities.
• Allocate duties, prepare staff schedules and monitor performance and productivity.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with quality and presentation standards.
• Manage housekeeping supplies, cleaning materials and linen inventories.
• Train, coach and support staff to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and service issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Prepare reports, inventory records and maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in hotel housekeeping, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, room preparation and laundry operations.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate staff while maintaining high performance.
• Good understanding of health, safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent planning, organization and time‑management abilities.
