Housing Porter – US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Housing Porter to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role provides professional housing support, tenant assistance, and administrative oversight for housing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily customer service to tenants, residents and guests.
• Guide tenants through check‑in and check‑out procedures, issue keys and required documentation.
• Assist with lockouts, access issues and service‑related concerns.
• Maintain accurate occupancy, reservation and supply records.
• Conduct housing unit inspections to verify cleanliness, readiness and condition.
• Receive, document and coordinate building maintenance requests with the maintenance department.
• Identify inspection deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Follow all safety, quality and company policies.
• Support additional administrative projects as directed by leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of comparable customer‑service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Valid passport with at least one year of validity at hiring and ability to travel internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
