HR Officer

About the role

Tropical Heat Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Officer to manage recruitment, employee relations and HR administration for its fast‑growing manufacturing business in Nairobi. The role will ensure compliance with Kenyan labour law and support the company’s strategic HR objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding for middle and junior positions.
• Administer HR policies, maintain filing systems and manage employee exit processes.
• Support payroll administration and ensure data integrity in the HRMIS/ERP.
• Handle disciplinary procedures, performance management and employee recognition programs.
• Prepare monthly HR data reports and probationary reports for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• CHRP‑K certification or ongoing study is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour law and statutory requirements.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Experience with HR systems or payroll software.
• Familiarity with HRMIS/ERP platforms.
