Human Resource Officer

About the role

The Human Resource Officer will support the day‑to‑day HR functions of a manufacturing and warehousing business in Westlands, Nairobi. This full‑time position requires a proactive professional who can manage employee records, assist with recruitment and ensure compliance with Kenyan labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily HR operations and administration.
• Maintain employee records, HR documentation and personnel files.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and employee induction processes.
• Handle employee relations queries and provide guidance on HR policies.
• Ensure proper implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Advise management and staff on employment regulations.
• Support attendance, leave and performance management.
• Prepare HR reports and keep accurate employee information.
• Promote employee engagement and assist with disciplinary actions.

Required profile

• Male candidate, age not more than 35 years.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and employment regulations.
• High level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters.
• Ready to start immediately.

Required skills

• Understanding of HR policies and employee relations.
• Familiarity with HR administration processes.
• CHRP certification is an advantage.
