Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Human Resources Officer to join our Tanzania branch in Dar es Salaam. The role is full‑time and on‑site, responsible for managing recruitment, employee relations, attendance, payroll support and labour‑law compliance within a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end‑to‑end recruitment for positions such as Warehouse Officer, Declaration Officer and Shipping Line Officer, from posting to onboarding.
• Review applications from platforms like TanzaJobs, LinkedIn and internal referrals, shortlist candidates and coordinate interview schedules.
• Prepare job descriptions, advertisements, offer letters and employment contracts, and manage onboarding plans.
• Maintain employee personal records, monitor attendance and support payroll processing with accurate documentation.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary procedures and ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour laws.
• Represent the company in labour disputes, mediations, arbitrations and court proceedings, liaising with relevant authorities.
• Create and manage meeting schedules via Feishu and contribute to HR policy discussions and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in Tanzania, with solid knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws.
• Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee records, leave and attendance management, payroll coordination and employee relations.
• Strong English and Swahili communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to handle confidential matters with professionalism.
