Information Communication Technology Technician

About the role

The Information Communication Technology Technician will support the ICT infrastructure of the polytechnic, ensuring that computer laboratories and training environments run smoothly. This full‑time position involves both hardware and software maintenance as well as assistance to staff and trainees.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and network components.
• Provide technical support to staff and trainees in ICT laboratories.
• Assist trainers in delivering practical ICT lessons and assessments.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of ICT equipment and licensing records.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ICT‑related faults promptly.
• Implement basic ICT security measures and data backup procedures.

Required profile

• At least one month of experience in ICT support or a related role.
• Ability to work in an educational environment and follow documented procedures.

Required skills

• Computer hardware installation and maintenance.
• Software configuration and updates.
• Network setup, configuration and basic troubleshooting.
• Diagnostic troubleshooting of ICT faults.
