Institutional Grants Funding Officer

About the role

The Institutional Grants Funding Officer will lead the organization’s efforts to secure institutional funding, develop compelling grant proposals, and ensure compliance with donor regulations. This role supports Bible Translation & Literacy’s mission to provide literacy and language development programmes across Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate relationships with institutional donors.
• Develop, write, and submit funding applications and grant proposals.
• Prepare detailed budgets for proposals and monitor financial compliance.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and maintain donor communications.
• Ensure adherence to donor regulations and internal compliance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Development, International Relations, Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in institutional fundraising, grant writing, or resource mobilization within a non‑profit or faith‑based organization.
• Proven record of securing institutional grants.
• Strong proposal writing, communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Excellent financial and analytical skills, including budgeting and knowledge of donor compliance.
