Internal Audit Officer

About the role

The Internal Audit Officer will support GA Insurance Limited’s internal audit function by implementing risk management, governance and internal control processes to ensure independent and effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop audit tests that address identified risks and meet audit objectives according to the approved audit plan.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive audit reports.
• Maintain working papers using the Audit Management Software.
• Compile audit findings and recommendations across departments.
• Identify control issues, propose solutions and monitor implementation of audit recommendations through follow‑up audits.
• Track completion of assigned tasks and report emerging internal control issues.
• Support compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual audit plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA Part 2 or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in internal audit within the insurance sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Audit Management Software for preparing working papers and reports.
• Strong audit reporting and data analytics capabilities.
