IT & Digitalization Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT & Digitalization Manager to lead the development, implementation, operation and continuous improvement of IT within our Business Unit. The role acts as a strategic partner to senior management, regional IT leadership and key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring IT services are reliable, secure and aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and evolve the Business Unit IT strategy and roadmap in line with business needs and regional direction.
• Collaborate with the Business Unit Management Team to translate requirements into IT solutions that add value.
• Lead, motivate and develop the IT team, ensuring appropriate structure, resources and performance monitoring.
• Convene and chair BU IT Council meetings to ensure effective governance and decision‑making.
• Manage relationships with Scania IT, regional IT leadership, suppliers, dealers and internal functions such as services, sales and parts.
• Oversee IT security, information security controls, disaster recovery, backup procedures, audits and risk management actions.
• Prepare and manage the BU IT budget, including forecasting, variance analysis and supplier SLA management.
• Promote innovation, digitalisation and continuous improvement, sharing best practices across the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with Scania principles, standards, policies, the Scania Way, SHE requirements and applicable IT governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field; Master’s degree (MBA or MIS) strongly preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive IT or digital experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or project‑management capacity.
• Proven experience managing distributed, multi‑regional teams and enterprise‑wide transformation programmes.
• Relevant certifications are highly valued.
