IT Expert – Build & Maintain Research Tech Backbone

About the role

We are seeking an IT Expert to architect, build and maintain the technology backbone of our research operations. You will work on digital data collection platforms, analytics infrastructure and cybersecurity to ensure reliable, secure and scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy mobile data collection solutions using ODK, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO or CommCare.
• Manage cloud infrastructure including databases, dashboards, file storage and automation workflows.
• Develop and maintain internal web tools, APIs and analytics dashboards.
• Enforce cybersecurity, data‑protection and backup policies across the organisation.
• Provide Level‑2/Level‑3 IT support to internal users.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience, including cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure) and database administration.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver reliable technical solutions.
