Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Westlands, Nairobi. The successful candidate will support project cost management and measurement activities, working closely with senior surveyors and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take‑offs and develop accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for various construction projects.
• Assist in cost estimation, budgeting and ongoing project cost control.
• Conduct site measurements, valuations and variation costing.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor quotations and documentation.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure correct material and labour quantities.
• Support the preparation of progress reports and cost forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in construction cost management.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team.
• Professional certification (e.g., QS) is an advantage.
