Lead Fiber Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Fiber Technician to head field teams in the installation, maintenance, and fault restoration of fiber optic networks. You will work closely with assistant technicians, NOC personnel, and field supervisors to ensure high‑quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead field teams in fiber installation, termination, and maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and resolve fiber network faults within agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Splice fiber optics at distribution hubs and test links using light sources, optical power meters, and OTDR equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with technical, safety, and quality standards.
• Prepare and submit job completion reports and provide client education on basic troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with NOC personnel to provide timely updates on fault status.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Telecommunications, Fiber Optics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fiber optic installation or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of fiber network concepts and health & safety guidelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and technical expertise.
