Lead Technical Materials, ASE, Tooling & Facilities

About the role

Kenya Airways is seeking a senior leader to oversee technical materials, ASE, tooling and facilities across its MRO operations. The role ensures continuous availability of parts and tools, supports maintenance activities and drives strategic inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on new and enhanced systems, delivering insights to stakeholders for aviation support services.
• Develop and coordinate warehouse storage and distribution strategies for technical materials, equipment and tools.
• Monitor and enforce corrective maintenance activities with outsourced contractors, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Manage day‑to‑day sub‑ledger asset management and global consignment of materials.
• Analyse market trends and identify growth opportunities within the MRO sector.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• At least 8 years of material management or supply‑chain experience, including 3 years in a managerial role.
• Commercial and financial acumen with proven team‑leadership abilities.
• Experience in an aircraft maintenance environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computerized inventory control systems.
• Knowledge of aircraft parts airworthiness certification (EASA, FAA, KCAA).
• Understanding of customs regulations relevant to aircraft parts.
• Asset management expertise.
