About the role
The Mechanical Engineering Trainer will join Gichugu Technical and Vocational College to deliver practical and theoretical training in mechanical engineering to students. This full‑time position is based in Westlands, Nairobi, and focuses on preparing learners for careers in the automotive and broader mechanical sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and workshop sessions covering mechanical engineering principles and automotive applications.
- Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain training materials and ensure they align with industry standards and TVETA regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering or Higher National Diploma (Automotive option) from a recognized institution.
- Licensing by TVETA and any other required professional bodies.
- Pedagogy qualification demonstrating teaching competence.
- Submission of a hard‑copy application letter, detailed résumé, national ID/passport copy, and academic transcripts.
