Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join Zetech University’s IT team in Nairobi. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Business Central solutions that support the university’s administrative and learning systems.

Key responsibilities

• Stay up‑to‑date with Business Central releases and best‑practice development guidelines.
• Design and implement integrations with Microsoft 365, Teams, Entra ID, Power Platform, SharePoint and external systems such as banking, payroll, SIS and LMS using REST APIs, OData and web services.
• Develop upgrade‑safe extensions, custom pages, reports, APIs, workflows and other Business Central objects using AL.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and produce technical documentation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise Business Central performance and provide post‑implementation support.
• Translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions and configure modules to meet business needs.
• Support user acceptance testing, training, change management and create functional/technical design documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience in ERP implementation or functional consulting.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification is an advantage.
