Mid Level Data Scientist

About the role

The Mid Level Data Scientist will apply data mining, statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to large structured and unstructured data sets. Working closely with clients and cross‑functional teams, you will turn raw data into actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and prepare data for modelling, ensuring datasets align with organisational goals.
• Perform data pre‑processing, including transformation, normalisation, standardisation and feature engineering.
• Apply advanced analytics and mining techniques to assess data validity, generate insights and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Design and implement statistical, simulation and predictive models to solve complex business problems.
• Code, test and maintain scientific models and algorithms, identifying trends and discrepancies.
• Use data profiling and visualisation tools to explain data characteristics and inform modelling approaches.
• Develop, optimise and monitor production‑ready automation and predictive solutions.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience in data science or a related analytical field.
• Proven ability to work with large, heterogeneous data sets and translate findings into business value.
• Strong communication skills for presenting insights to audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
