Network Engineer

About the role

StrongNet Fiber Limited is seeking a full‑time Network Engineer to work on‑site in Ukunda. You will be responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining the company’s fiber‑optic and wireless network infrastructure to deliver reliable connectivity for residential, business and enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and manage routers, switches, wireless access points and fiber‑optic equipment.
• Monitor network performance, diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
• Implement security best practices and perform routine maintenance and upgrades.
• Collaborate with field technicians and support teams, documenting configurations and changes.
• Support network expansion projects and new customer installations.

Required profile

• Strong background in network administration and engineering, including configuration, monitoring and maintenance of network devices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex issues and designing scalable, resilient network solutions.
• Knowledge of network security principles to protect infrastructure and customer data.
• Ability to work on‑site in Ukunda, with occasional field work and solid documentation and communication skills.
