Operations Manager - Nairobi

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee daily operational performance across sales, inventory, procurement, workshop, and delivery functions. You will build efficient systems, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure smooth customer fulfilment as the business expands.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily operations across sales, inventory, procurement, workshop, and delivery.
• Develop and enforce SOPs, checklists, and workflows.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain an operational calendar for orders, deliveries, stock counts, servicing, and procurement.
• Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, transfers, dispatch, and stock records for bicycles, accessories, spare parts, and consumables.
• Coordinate physical stock counts, investigate variances, and monitor minimum stock levels.
• Manage purchasing requirements, obtain quotations, and monitor supplier performance.
• Coordinate customer deliveries, collections, and stock movement, handling any discrepancies.
• Monitor workshop workload, job cards, and turnaround times, ensuring quality repairs.
• Set expectations for operational staff, monitor performance, and support training and reviews.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• 4‑6 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics.
• Proven ability to manage inventory, procurement, and workshop processes.

Required skills

• Zoho Inventory (or equivalent inventory management system).
