Operations Manager – Travel Services

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the delivery of seamless travel solutions across Kenya, Dubai, India and other key markets. You will drive commercial growth, operational excellence, and a premium customer experience for a fast‑growing travel services group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategy for corporate, leisure, inbound and outbound travel segments.
• Build and manage partnerships with airlines, hotels, DMCs, visa agencies and technology providers.
• Oversee end‑to‑end travel operations including bookings, ticketing, itineraries, visa processing and crisis management.
• Recruit, train and lead a team of travel consultants, ticketing officers and operations staff.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and monthly performance reports; manage receivables, payables and cost discipline.
• Drive adoption and optimisation of travel systems (GDS, booking engines, CRM, reporting tools) and digital automation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years of experience in travel, hospitality or related operations.
• Proven track record in commercial growth, partnership management and revenue optimisation.
• Strong leadership and team‑building skills with a focus on performance metrics.
• Excellent analytical, budgeting and regulatory compliance capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
• Knowledge of booking engines and reporting tools.
