Part Time Lecturer – Mathematics for Economists

About the role

Maseno University seeks a qualified individual to join its faculty on a part‑time basis as a Lecturer for the course "Mathematics for Economists II." The position involves delivering undergraduate instruction and supporting students in mastering quantitative methods essential for economic analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions covering advanced mathematical concepts for economics students.
• Design assessment materials, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain up‑to‑date course content aligned with the university curriculum and academic standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics (or a closely related discipline) with strong quantitative training.
• Demonstrated ability to teach mathematics at the undergraduate level.
• Relevant academic and professional certificates, transcripts, and a current pay slip.
• Three referees’ letters supporting the application.

Required skills

• Proficiency in teaching mathematical concepts to economics students.
