Payables Accountant

About the role

The Payables Accountant will join Bosch's Accounts Payable Operations team in Nairobi, supporting a wide range of financial processes that ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process, scan, route and post vendor invoices using PM7 and P38, ensuring proper archiving and duplicate checks.
• Execute bi‑weekly and month‑end payments, including manual clearing via SAP transaction F‑53 and handling intercompany payments.
• Conduct quarterly vendor account reconciliations, monthly clearing of unallocated items, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Perform weekly GR/IR clearing using SAP F‑13 (automatic) and F‑03 (manual), and clear vendor accounts via SAP F‑44.
• Maintain the Vendor Master Database, applying four‑eye principles for onboarding and supporting purchase order creation.
• Monitor Celonis performance reports, synchronize PM7 data, and act as a key user for workflow approvals.
• Audit, reconcile and support corporate credit cards and travel accounts, ensuring policy compliance.
• Drive tax compliance for WHT, WH Rent, WHVAT and support external, internal and regulatory audits.

Required profile

• Experience in accounts payable and vendor invoice processing.
• Familiarity with Kenyan tax regulations (WHT, WH Rent, WHVAT).
• Ability to perform intercompany and vendor reconciliations.
• Knowledge of SAP FI modules and related transaction codes.
• Proficiency with PM7, P38 and Celonis reporting tools.
