Process Excellence Operations Lead

About the role

Sun King is seeking a Process Excellence Operations Lead to drive operational efficiency across its warehousing, inventory, procurement and logistics functions in Nairobi. The role focuses on identifying gaps, designing scalable processes and ensuring consistent implementation across locations.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing operational workflows and pinpoint inefficiencies in warehousing, inventory management, procurement and logistics.
• Lead structured process improvement initiatives to simplify workflows, reduce costs and improve cycle times.
• Develop and roll out standard operating procedures, playbooks and process maps that can be applied across markets.
• Collaborate with operations teams to test, implement and monitor improvements, ensuring adoption and continuity.
• Strengthen operational controls such as inventory reconciliation, stock handovers and system‑to‑physical stock alignment.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support audit and compliance activities by aligning processes with company policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Data Science or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, consulting or process improvement.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and experience with process mapping and requirements gathering.
• Familiarity with project‑management frameworks such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Excellent communication skills to translate operational topics into clear insights and recommendations.
