Procurement Controller

About the role

The Procurement Controller will lead strategic sourcing and end‑to‑end procurement for M‑KOPA’s fast‑growing business in Kenya. You will be responsible for delivering value across a wide range of spend categories, from mobility and retail to construction, technology and professional services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies that look two to three years ahead.
• Build should‑cost models to evaluate supplier pricing on construction and other capital projects.
• Run sourcing events for new technology platforms and other critical spend.
• Lead complex negotiations, award contracts and manage supplier relationships.
• Partner with business stakeholders to assess commercial trade‑offs and support decision‑making.
• Oversee procurement activities across mobility, retail, facilities, construction, fleet, technology and professional services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement with a track record of delivering outcomes.
• Ability to work autonomously and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Strong commercial judgment and analytical mindset.
• Comfort operating in a high‑growth environment with diverse spend categories.
