Product Owner – Process Assurance

About the role

We are looking for a Product Owner to lead Process Assurance activities at our Nairobi site. The role ensures that all manufacturing processes are qualified, maintained, and compliant with quality, regulatory and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product development technology, technical product transfer and delivery of product innovation for the value stream.
• Manage new product introduction and source changes through Technical Risk Assessment, pack development, process validation and technical product transfers.
• Drive product life‑cycle management and validation activities across the value stream.
• Oversee packaging material and artwork changes affecting site value streams.
• Conduct process robustness studies focusing on critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs).
• Assess and lead change management for any modifications with potential impact on product quality.
• Develop and execute validation protocols, including operational, performance, cleaning and process validation.
• Lead value‑engineering initiatives to improve efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, site SOPs, EHS, QMS standards and relevant legal requirements.
• Champion data‑integrity culture at the departmental level and manage technical risks in production.

Required profile

• Proven experience in process assurance, manufacturing or quality within a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP, SOPs, EHS and QMS frameworks.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage technical risk.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
