Project Manager – Construction (Nairobi)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects in Nairobi. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Agree on timelines, costs and resources needed to deliver each project.
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, resource allocation and procurement.
• Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and specifications.
• Evaluate and select contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications, experience and cost‑effectiveness.
• Monitor project progress, track KPIs and report status to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local building codes and legal requirements.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits and drawings.
• Conduct regular meetings to facilitate communication and resolve challenges.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a high‑performance environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, architecture or a related field.
• Project Management certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management with a proven track record of on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
