Project Manager – Health System Implementation

About the role

International Medical Corps is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of its PIMS health‑information system in Kenya. The role coordinates a multi‑national team to acquire partners, deploy the solution and ensure client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Plan, schedule and track timelines, milestones and budgets using appropriate tools.
• Manage project risks, quality, dependencies and changes to keep projects on time, on budget and within scope.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, delegate tasks, resolve conflicts and conduct post‑mortem reviews.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation and presentations to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience leading medium to highly complex projects, with at least 3 years at manager or director level.
• Project management certification such as PMP or Prince2.
• Proven ability to work in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments and to communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using project management, diagram/process‑flow and statistical software.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical research abilities.
• Resource management and budgeting expertise.
