Radio Controller

About the role

Securex is seeking a Radio Controller to join its security operations team in Nairobi. The role involves monitoring radio communications and security systems to ensure rapid response to incidents across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage radio communications and security system alerts in real‑time.
• Coordinate with field teams and dispatch appropriate resources during incidents.
• Maintain accurate logs of all radio traffic and incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with telecom industry standards and internal security protocols.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of monitoring procedures and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Security Management or a related business field.
• Diploma or certificate in Customer Service.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a busy call‑centre environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of security operations and security systems monitoring.
• Understanding of information security and risk management principles.
• Familiarity with telecom industry standards.
