Real Estate Research Intern

About the role

NW Realite Limited is seeking a motivated intern to join its Research and Data Analytics Department in Nairobi. The role involves supporting the collection, analysis, and interpretation of real‑estate market data to aid valuation, consultancy, and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect property market data from field surveys, online platforms, government publications and internal databases.
• Clean, validate and organise data, maintaining the company’s property market database.
• Analyse market trends, rental movements, yields and investment performance using Excel and Power BI.
• Assist in preparing market research reports, sector updates and property briefs.
• Support valuation assignments by compiling comparable sales and rental evidence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Estate Management, Valuation, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
• Prior coursework or projects involving real‑estate research, valuation, economics or data analysis.
• Basic exposure to Power BI, GIS, SQL or Python is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, charts).
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools.
• Basic knowledge of GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
• Introductory skills in SQL and Python for data handling.
