Reconciliation Specialist

About the role

The Reconciliation Specialist will join Sportserve’s International Finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for matching internal operational data with external payment and banking records, supporting the company’s rapid growth and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and bank statements against internal operational reports.
• Investigate and follow up on reconciling items, escalating monetary losses, procedural errors, and third‑party issues as needed.
• Update relevant stakeholders daily on trends such as unusual deposit or withdrawal activity.
• Review daily activity summaries, compare them with internal reports, and promptly flag discrepancies.
• Generate and distribute daily reports to merchants and internal teams for confirmation and balance verification.
• Maintain a repository of supporting documentation and ensure proper access control.
• Prepare individual schedules for financial statement line items and support broader team objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reconciliation across PSPs, banks, and internal systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset to detect unusual trends and escalate issues promptly.
• Experience in preparing and analysing financial reports.
• Organised documentation management and problem‑solving capabilities.
