Restaurant Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Restaurant Assistant Manager to support daily operations at our Nairobi location. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will help ensure smooth service, staff coordination and guest satisfaction in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing procedures, balance cash registers and prepare daily sales reports.
• Recruit, train, mentor and schedule staff to maintain optimal floor coverage.
• Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints and gather feedback to enhance the dining experience.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders for ingredients and supplies, and negotiate with vendors.
• Enforce local food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards across the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality or food service.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution and basic arithmetic abilities.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Familiarity with restaurant management systems such as OpenTable.
• Experience using digital payroll and scheduling software.
