Retail Territory Manager

About the role

The Retail Territory Manager will act as the primary link between Vivo Energy Kenya Ltd and its retail partners at the site level. You will ensure the consistent delivery of the Vivo Energy Customer Commitment, support marketing initiatives, and drive performance against sales and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with retailers, ensuring adherence to the Customer Commitment when the Territory Manager is absent.
• Identify competency gaps, coach retailers, and provide tools to improve performance.
• Support retailer staff training and development, focusing on people and process excellence.
• Assist retailers in developing business plans to meet sales and cost objectives and monitor P&L statements.
• Promote a strong HSSE culture, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Plan and conduct regular site visits using the Call Planning Cycle tool.
• Implement competitive pricing strategies through fuel pricing procedures.
• Drive marketing and network initiatives, offering ongoing support to retailers.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Broad competence in retail sales and operations.
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to coach retail partners.
• Experience in managing retailer relationships and performance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
