Sales Representative – Detergent/FMCG (Nairobi)

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Sales Representative to promote and sell our detergent range within the FMCG sector. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with existing clients and develop new business opportunities across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell the company’s detergent products to existing and prospective customers.
• Identify and develop new customers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutions.
• Visit customers regularly to maintain strong business relationships.
• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline within the assigned territory.
• Follow up on inquiries, quotations, orders and pending payments.
• Introduce new detergent products and promotions to customers.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, products and market trends.
• Ensure product visibility and availability in the market.
• Collect and communicate customer feedback to management.
• Handle customer complaints and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports.
• Support customer retention and identify opportunities to increase sales volumes.
• Participate in promotions, product launches and exhibitions as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of sales experience in detergent, cleaning products, home‑care or FMCG sector.
• Proven record of achieving sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of distribution channels and market dynamics.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
