About the role
The Security Guard safeguards the office premises, staff, visitors, and assets, while providing a friendly, welcoming first point of contact at the door.
Key responsibilities
- Guard office premises and assets against theft, damage, and unauthorised access.
- Conduct regular patrols of the office premises.
- Monitor and report any suspicious activity.
- Receive visitors courteously, record their details, and direct them to the appropriate office or officer.
- Take and record visitor details accurately at the point of entry.
- Verify appointments where applicable and direct visitors to the appropriate office or officer.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents, reporting them promptly to management.
- Support implementation of office safety procedures.
Required profile
- KCSE certificate or equivalent.
- Prior security experience preferred.
- A security training certificate is an added advantage.
Required skills
- Friendly, welcoming personality.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Good observation skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good communication skills.
