Senior Associate – Programmes

About the role

Evidence Action is seeking a Senior Associate to support Kenya’s Deworm the World Initiative. The role will help transition the national STH/SCH programme to a targeted treatment, surveillance, and government‑led control model, ensuring data‑driven implementation across schools and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate targeted treatment, surveillance, classification and related workstreams in line with national STH/SCH guidance.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to Ministry of Health and county partners, supporting planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement and advocacy.
• Review programme plans, SOPs and reports, documenting implementation challenges, lessons learned and recommendations.
• Maintain and update county/IU classification and surveillance data, support impact assessments and field surveillance.
• Ensure accurate flow of classification, surveillance, coverage and treatment data into KHIS, eCHIS, IDB and other reporting systems.
• Support drug quantification, delivery monitoring and related reporting submissions.

Required profile

• Experience in public‑health programme management, preferably in deworming or NTD initiatives.
• Strong understanding of epidemiological classification, mass drug administration and health‑system strengthening.
• Proven ability to work with government counterparts and multi‑sector partners.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with health information systems such as KHIS, eCHIS, IDB.
• Ability to analyse programme data and translate insights into actionable plans.
