Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our partner’s engineering team in Kenya. The role focuses on building and enhancing modern cloud‑native applications that handle large‑scale data processing and support critical business services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain full‑stack web applications using Node.js, React and cloud‑native technologies.
• Build scalable backend services and serverless functions on AWS (Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Create technical designs, write clean production code and produce comprehensive documentation.
• Develop automated test suites, perform unit testing and contribute to overall quality assurance.
• Collaborate with architects, UX designers, infrastructure specialists and other engineers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and continuously improve reliability and scalability.
• Support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience building cloud‑native full‑stack applications with modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong background in both backend (Node.js) and frontend (React) development.
• Hands‑on experience designing microservices and serverless architectures on AWS.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and share knowledge with cross‑functional teams.
