Senior Graphic Designer

About the role

Watu Credit Ltd is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join its brand and creative team in Nairobi. The role involves creating visual assets across multiple channels, from print to digital, and shaping the look and feel of web portals and smart applications. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver high‑quality designs that support the company’s mission to empower entrepreneurs.

Key responsibilities

• Illustrate concepts, design layouts, posters, logos and videos, and submit drafts for approval.
• Coordinate with agencies, web designers, printers and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of assets.
• Create graphics and product illustrations using Adobe Photoshop and related software.
• Review final layouts, suggest improvements and ensure brand consistency.
• Research client briefs, determine web page structures, and build reusable code for portals and smart apps.
• Optimize web pages for speed and scalability, and write quality markup.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a senior graphic designer in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proven experience in video editing, animation and production.
• Training and hands‑on experience in 2D and 3D design, color theory, typography and visual identity.
