Senior Software Engineer – Google Play

About the role

Google Play is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to shape the future of gaming on Android devices. You will work on high‑impact projects that reach billions of users and collaborate with product, UX and engineering teams to deliver compelling experiences for gamers and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Write and test product and system code for Google Play services.
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to deliver high‑quality gaming experiences.
• Maintain and launch software products at massive scale for Android devices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.
• Experience with server‑side programming.
• Preferred: Master’s/PhD, strong data‑structures and algorithms background, technical leadership experience, accessibility development.
