Sight and Sound Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Sight and Sound Technician to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining audio‑visual equipment for live performances and events.

Key responsibilities

• Operate sound equipment and ensure high‑quality audio production for live performances.
• Set up and operate lighting systems to enhance indoor and outdoor events.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on sound and lighting gear.
• Design and arrange stage lighting to create visual effects that match event themes.
• Collaborate with event coordinators to align sound and lighting with performance specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines when handling electrical and lighting equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience operating, repairing, and maintaining sound and lighting equipment for live performances.
• Demonstrated creativity in lighting design for indoor and outdoor settings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain deployment compliance.
