SIM Card Punching Officer

About the role

The SIM Card Punching Officer is the precision craftsman on our smart‑card production line. Working in Nairobi, you will operate advanced SIM punching machinery to turn raw plastic sheets into finished SIM cards that meet strict technical and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate SIM punching equipment safely and efficiently following approved procedures.
• Set up machines with correct tooling, dies, pressure and cutting parameters for each production run.
• Monitor the punching process in real time, detecting and correcting any deviations.
• Inspect finished cards for burrs, cracks, mis‑alignments or dimensional errors and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Report machine faults, unusual noises or vibrations to maintenance promptly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate production logs, quality records and machine performance data for traceability.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with up to 12 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically minded, safety‑conscious and able to work with heavy machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects quickly.
• Disciplined, process‑driven and committed to minimizing waste.
