Social Media & Content Officer

About the role

Our client, a Nairobi‑based HR and training consultancy, is looking for a dynamic Social Media & Content Officer. The role will drive the creation, scheduling and optimisation of content across multiple digital channels while fostering active community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑converting digital ads, graphics and visual assets for specific platforms.
• Produce short‑form video content that aligns with current trends and the brand voice.
• Maintain an active brand presence on Facebook, X (Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and the company website.
• Monitor all channels daily, responding promptly to comments, messages and inquiries.
• Track social media mentions and industry conversations to manage reputation and address feedback.
• Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business goals.
• Plan, manage and maintain a centralized content publishing calendar for marketing, sales and competitive positioning.
• Design and run targeted paid campaigns on Meta, LinkedIn and Google Ads to generate leads and sales.
• Track, analyse and report on ROI, reach, engagement, traffic and conversions using Google Analytics.
• Optimise website and blog content with SEO best practices to improve organic visibility.
• Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to refine campaign performance.
• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Fine Arts, IT, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in social media management, content creation or digital marketing.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative design, copywriting and successful social campaigns.
• Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
