Software Development & End‑User Support Intern

About the role

This internship offers hands‑on experience at the intersection of software development and end‑user IT support. You will work within BIMAS Kenya Ltd’s technology team, assisting both internal staff and external clients while gaining practical skills in hardware, networking, and application development.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, configure and maintain computers, mobile devices, hardware, operating systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues, diagnosing and resolving hardware or software faults.
• Develop and maintain software applications according to business needs.
• Respond to IT support requests from clients and employees, logging and updating tickets.
• Install and update software, drivers and hardware components.
• Install, configure and maintain LAN and WAN computer networks.
• Ensure continuous availability of computer systems and infrastructure.
• Provide direct end‑user support and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience.
