Software Support Engineer – Remote

About the role

You will act as the critical bridge between Boost Technology's engineering team and its on‑ground operations across Africa. By triaging technical issues and delivering production code fixes, you will help thousands of informal retailers enjoy a seamless digital experience.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, triage and resolve complex technical problems, identifying root causes in the codebase.
• Develop and ship production‑ready fixes, tests and platform enhancements using Python (Flask) and PostgreSQL.
• Own the QA pipeline by creating automated test suites that prevent regressions and ensure reliability across the global platform.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in an engineering, product or technical support role, preferably in a fast‑paced startup.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python (Flask) and SQL (PostgreSQL) with a strong desire to work on AWS‑hosted infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical requirements for non‑technical stakeholders across diverse cultures and time zones.
