Solution Architect

About the role

Ericsson Kenya is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver cloud‑based telecom solutions for customers in Nairobi and the wider region. The role involves translating business requirements into robust technical offerings and supporting both Ericsson and third‑party cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Scope, define and design solution offerings, integrating Ericsson Cloud Solutions and optional third‑party cloud services.
• Analyze customer environments, capture business requirements and conduct risk assessments.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, proposals, workshops and pre‑sales studies.
• Plan, implement, test and verify product configuration, integration, migration and acceptance testing.
• Support solution deployment, post‑project activities and knowledge transfer to customers.
• Provide feedback to R&D, contribute to documentation and stay current with emerging technologies.
• Identify and drive continuous improvements across delivery processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or IT (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 7 years of service‑delivery experience in the telecom industry.
• At least 5 years of cloud deployment experience, including 2 years as a Solution Architect.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and requirement‑gathering abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure in customer‑facing environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time.
