About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our ward at Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Nairobi. The role involves delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred nursing care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, provide, and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients.
- Attend to patients’ physical, psychological, and mental health needs.
- Assist patients with daily activities and monitor changes in symptoms.
- Maintain accurate patient records and report observations.
- Participate in ward rounds and support medical staff during examinations and treatments.
- Assist in clinical investigations and supervise new staff and students.
- Coordinate ward activities, ensure effective communication across departments, and uphold a safe, clean environment.
- Facilitate patient discharge by providing medication, summaries, and follow‑up instructions.
- Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives and reporting.
Required profile
- Diploma in KRCHN/KRN/M or BSc Nursing.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) with a valid practicing licence.
- Minimum one year of post‑qualification nursing experience.
Required skills
- Computer proficiency.
