Staffing Coordinator

About the role

The Staffing Coordinator will partner with Nairobi‑based partners to ensure optimal deployment of consultants across BCG projects. This role bridges the consulting and finance teams, providing data‑driven insights that support project staffing, forecasting, and billability.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Nairobi partners to understand upcoming project pipelines and staffing needs.
• Assign consultants to projects, proposals, and sales development work while balancing individual preferences and project requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date staffing profiles and issue case‑team confirmations.
• Support finance with business forecasting, billability tracking, and regular staffing reports for leadership.
• Track and analyse key staffing metrics such as utilization, deployment mix, and lead time, translating data into actionable recommendations.
• Assist with new‑joiner onboarding, ensuring timely integration into case teams.
• Communicate staffing processes with partners and consultants to keep a current view of the project pipeline.
• Provide strategic input on staffing trends, risks, and capacity needs, working with the Staffing MDP.
• Liaise with African counterparts on cross‑office staffing requests and support holiday coverage for the HR Core team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in staffing, resource planning, or related functions.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with consultants, partners, and finance teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate reports under tight deadlines.
