Store Opening Supervisor / Operations Manager

About the role

BODUO International is expanding its tea brand across Kenya and needs a proactive Store Opening Supervisor to lead new store launches. You will oversee all pre‑opening activities, train staff, and ensure each outlet opens on schedule and meets brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end store opening tasks: renovation checks, equipment installation, inventory set‑up, and timeline management.
• Recruit, onboard and train local staff on product preparation, SOPs, POS systems, hygiene and customer service.
• Organise pre‑opening drills and soft launches to validate operational readiness.
• Provide on‑site supervision during the opening phase, monitoring product quality, service speed and store cleanliness.
• Track early‑stage sales and operational KPIs, identify issues and implement improvements.
• Support store managers with operational problems such as customer complaints, equipment failures or staffing gaps.
• Act as the liaison between headquarters and stores, delivering ground‑level feedback and coordinating resources.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in store operations or supervisory roles within F&B or retail chains.
• Proven experience in new store openings is preferred.
• Strong on‑site problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and team‑training skills.
• Willingness to travel between store locations during launch phases.
