Stores Assistant – Nairobi

About the role

AutoXpress Limited is looking for a motivated Stores Assistant to manage the daily operations of its retail store in Westlands, Nairobi. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring safety, and supporting the delivery of goods to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels, analyse sales trends and place re‑orders to avoid stock‑outs.
• Verify receipt of goods, record movements in the computerized stock system and ensure accurate documentation.
• Organise orderly stacking of received items, conduct regular stock‑takes and maintain inventory records.
• Dispatch goods, prepare supporting documents and coordinate timely deliveries with drivers.
• Handle non‑conforming products, manage claims and ensure safe storage.
• Maintain store housekeeping, health‑and‑safety compliance and report discrepancies.
• Supervise store and delivery staff, assign tasks and ensure adherence to company policies.

Required profile

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar store or inventory role.
• Strong knowledge of stock and inventory management practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Experience using stock management or warehouse software.
