Technical Service Representative – Floor Coatings

About the role

Jotun is seeking a Technical Service Representative to lead and support floor coating projects in Nairobi. You will act as the primary technical liaison between customers, applicators, and internal teams, ensuring that all coating works meet the company’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site technical inspections to assess surface preparation, moisture, profile, and cleanliness before coating application.
• Guide applicators on proper mixing, application, curing methods, and key parameters to comply with Jotafloor specifications.
• Verify that all work follows approved Inspection and Test Plans, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Investigate coating failures or non‑conformances, propose corrective actions, and document findings.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, non‑conformance reports, and final handover documentation.
• Provide product expertise, training, and project‑management support during meetings, warranty inspections, and maintenance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in chemical, civil, construction or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Proactive, results‑oriented, and capable of working in dynamic environments.
• Methodical, systematic approach with clear prioritisation and problem‑solving abilities.
