Territory Manager

About the role

Watu Credit Ltd is a mission‑driven asset finance company that empowers entrepreneurs across Africa. The Territory Manager will lead recovery operations for mobility assets within the assigned region, ensuring targets are met and assets are returned efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all recovery activities in the territory to meet recovery targets.
• Analyse performance data to identify risk areas and advise on difficult repossession cases.
• Maintain the repossession list and ensure timely assignment of bikes to recovery offices.
• Approve recovery costs, including petty cash and expense reimbursements.
• Support Recovery Managers and Officers through escalations and provide necessary resources.
• Monitor monthly recovery budget versus actuals and ensure compliance with documentation policies.
• Oversee people management processes such as performance reviews, training, coaching, safety and employee relations in consultation with HR.
• Communicate policy, schedule and product updates to the team and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid motorcycle licence with at least 1 year of riding experience.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities to manage recovery risk.
