Territory Manager – Ukunda

About the role

Unilever is seeking a proactive Territory Manager for the Ukunda region to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships. You will lead distributor teams, manage working capital, and ensure the right product assortment reaches the market.

Key responsibilities

• Assess distributor infrastructure needs, including working capital requirements.
• Set sales and KPI targets using the Joint Business Plan toolkit.
• Monitor stocks, debtors, and cash positions to maintain optimal working capital.
• Build and maintain strong relationships at key distributor (KD) and point‑of‑purchase (POP) levels.
• Recruit, train, and coach distributor sales teams to achieve targets.
• Prepare beat plans and ensure effective territory coverage across all product categories.
• Negotiate and implement local actions in line with company policies.
• Ensure product availability at the right price and channel.
• Track profitability using the ROI toolkit and report monthly actions for improvement.
• Submit weekly and monthly sales, ROI, profitability, and safety reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in an FMCG environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical ability and proven track record in meeting sales targets.
• Excellent organizational and team‑management skills.
